Section 111 mental health act. Section 111 of the medicare medicaid and schip extension act of 2007 mmsea added mandatory reporting requirements with respect to medicare beneficiaries who have coverage under group health plan ghp arrangements as well as for medicare beneficiaries who receive settlements judgments awards or other payment from liability insurance including self insurance no fault insurance or workers compensation. Hospital mental health care means hospital care within the meaning of the health and disability services safety act 2001 that is or consists principally of mental health services medical officer means a medical practitioner other than the person in charge of a hospital employed in a service. Any person who has been admitted to hospital not being a patient who is already subject to assessment or treatment under this act is acting in a manner that gives rise to a reasonable belief that he or she may be mentally disordered or such a person is brought to a hospital.
Any state hospital operated by the department. Mental health act 1983 section 111 is up to date with all changes known to be in force on or before 27 september 2020. There are changes that may be brought into force at a future date.

As used in this section facility shall mean any hospital institution for the care of unwed mothers clinic infirmary maintained in a town convalescent or nursing home rest home or charitable home for the aged licensed or subject to licensing by the department.
