Solidworks Cross Section

Do a section view using the regular command for this.

Solidworks cross section. A face on a section plane the crosshatch section face in a section view of a drawing a sketch click the sketch in the featuremanager design tree or right click the feature and select edit sketch click section properties tools toolbar or tools evaluate section properties. Creates a cylindrical cross section. Sets the offset distance measured from the selected section entity.

Double click a point on a face to create a cross section plane parallel to the face. Select a face in the graphics area then on the section pane click face plane. Select one or more zones formed by the bounding box created by the selected section planes or faces and the bounding box of the model.

Use the default xy cross section plane. Show or hide a section cap. Position dynamically the section plane in the graphics area by moving the red arrow.

Select a face in the graphics area then on the section pane click face plane. Double click a point on a face to create a cross section plane parallel to the face. Select the faces edges and vertices created by a section view.

It concerns measuring calculating the surface area of any give cross section view of a model in solidworks. Select the faces edges and vertices created by a section view. Select plane 1 plane 2 or plane 3 as a reference plane for the orientation of the section plane.

Select a plane from the section pane. Reverse clipping direction. Use the default xy cross section plane.
