There will be changes in your body as well as your menstrual cycle after a c section.

You might feel contractions sometimes called afterpains during the first few days after the c section. The period after c section or vaginal delivery may not be the same as the ones before pregnancy. You may notice small blood clots irregular flow or increased period pain after a c section.

It is normal to have heavy bleeding after c section for the first few days. That s because a lot of your uterine lining must shed with the return of menstruation.
